赵立坚：中方密切关注委内瑞拉局势，注意到此次选举过程平稳、有序。	Zhao Lijian: China has been following the situation in Venezuela closely. We have noted that the election process was stable and orderly.
委内瑞拉政府和人民根据本国宪法和法律举行地方选举，完全是委内瑞拉的内政，不应受到外部势力的无端指责和粗暴干涉。	It is entirely Venezuela's domestic affair for the government and people to conduct local elections according to their Constitution and law. This shouldn't be subject to wanton accusation and gross interference by external forces.
中方一贯坚持不干涉内政原则，相信委内瑞拉政府和人民有能力处理好本国内部事务。	China is consistently committed to the principle of non-interference in other countries' internal affairs. We believe the Venezuelan government and people are capable of properly handling their domestic affairs.

The unfair treatment of women and children among the refugees are especially outrageous, evoking grave concerns and solemn condemnations from more and more people upholding justice of the international community.
特别是立陶宛军警，除了动用军犬撕咬难民，还居然使用催泪瓦斯攻击难民儿童。	Lithuanian soldiers and police went so far as to attack refugee children with teargas in addition to dog bites on refugees.

赵立坚：一个中国原则是公认的国际关系准则和国际社会普遍共识，是中国同建交国发展关系的政治基础。	Zhao Lijian: The one-China principle is a widely recognized norm governing international relations, an overwhelming consensus of the international community and the political foundation for China and countries it has diplomatic ties with to develop bilateral relations.
面对损害中国国家主权和安全利益的行径，中方作出合理合法反应，捍卫的是自身正当权益，维护的是国际公平正义。	In response to acts undermining China's national sovereignty and territorial integrity, the Chinese side took reasonable and lawful countermeasures to defend its own legitimate rights and interests, and international fairness and justice.
美方的有关言论恰恰是不打自招，进一步证明立陶宛批准设立所谓“驻立陶宛台湾代表处”是在国际上公然制造“一中一台”，是同“台独”分裂势力沆瀣一气。	The relevant remarks of the US side are an unwitting confession which only serves to prove that Lithuania's approval of the establishment of the "Taiwanese Representative Office in Lithuania" by the Taiwan authorities blatantly creates the false impression of "one China, one Taiwan" in the world and colludes with the "Taiwan independence" separatist forces.

里面提及，仅纽约市一地今年9月的“仇亚犯罪”案件数量相比去年同期就激增了368%。	It mentioned that in New York City alone, the number of anti-Asian hate crime cases in September this year surged by 368 percent over the same period last year.
另据美国联邦调查局公布的数据，2020年，全美针对亚裔的仇恨犯罪案件数量上升76%。	According to data released by the FBI, the number of anti-Asian hate crime cases across the US increased by 76 percent in 2020.
有关数字确实触目惊心。	The figures are indeed shocking.

It says that both sides agreed to reaffirm the principles of the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific and to advance cooperation in areas concerned in line with relevant purposes and principles.

我想强调的是，中方一贯支持东盟在区域架构中的中心地位，支持东盟在地区和国际事务中发挥更大作用。	I want to stress that China always supports ASEAN centrality in the regional architecture, and supports ASEAN in playing a bigger role in regional and international affairs.
关于第二个问题，中国政府高度重视外国留学生返华问题，将在确保防疫安全的前提下，统筹考虑外国留学生返华复课事宜。	On your second question. The Chinese government always attaches high importance to the issue of foreign students coming to China for their studies. On the basis of ensuring safety amid COVID-19, we will consider in a coordinated manner arrangement for allowing foreign students to return to China for their studies.
同时，我也再次强调，中方始终根据疫情形势发展，在科学分析的基础上，统筹确定各项防控措施。	At the same time, I stress again that in light of the evolving epidemic situation, China will decide on prevention and control measures in a coordinated way based on scientific analysis.
我们愿意在确保防疫安全的前提下，积极构建健康、安全、有序的中外人员往来秩序。	We stand ready to work actively towards the healthy, safe and orderly cross-border flow of people on the basis of sound epidemic measures.

皮尤研究中心报告显示，绝大多数美国人对自己国家的政治制度深感失望。	A report by the Pew Research Center shows that the vast majority of Americans feel deeply disappointed by US political system.
只有17％的人认为美国的“民主”值得效仿，而23％的人认为美国的“民主”从来不是什么好例子。	Only 17 percent think American democracy is a good example for other countries to follow, while 23 percent believe American democracy is never a good example.
美国全国公共广播电台近期的民调显示，81%的美国民众认为美民主面临严重威胁；德国博世基金会近期民调显示，超80%美英受访者认为本国政客是资本傀儡，半数以上美国民众认为民主制度在当前情况下“毫不奏效”。	A recent poll by the NPR shows 81 percent of US adults say the future of US democracy is under threat. A recent study by Robert Bosch Foundation in Germany indicates that over 80 percent of interviewees in the US and UK believe politicians of their own country are only puppets of capital, and over half of Americans think the democratic system doesn't function at all under the current circumstances.
我们认为，对民主最基本的判断标准，就是人民是否有广泛参与国家治理的权利，人民的诉求能否得到回应和满足，人民有没有获得感和幸福感。	We believe that the basic criteria for democracy is whether people have the right to widely participate in their country's governance, whether people's needs are responded and satisfied, and whether people have a sense of happiness and fulfillment.
美国的民主到底好不好，去问问美国人民，就能得到答案。	Americans have the answer to whether US democracy is good or not.
彭博社记者：如果中方未来调整疫情期间的出入境政策，请问香港方面是否也会相应调整？	Bloomberg: Would Hong Kong adjust its policies if the mainland change its entry and exit policies amid COVID-19 someday?
